The founding of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf was decided on March 2, 1990. The faculty consists of the departments: Statistics and Econometrics, Accounting & Taxation and Finance (BWL), Management and Marketing (BWL) and Competition Economics - DICE (VWL).

A total of 22 professor and 3 junior professor are responsible for teaching and research at our faculty.

They are assisted by motivated staff members who actively support them in their teaching activities as well as in the supervision of students. They are assisted by honorary professors as well as lecturers (three of them for the foreign business languages English, French and Spanish), who offer students valuable supplementary opportunities. The professors are supported by approximately 100 research assistants. Together, these teach the fundamentals of business administration and economics as well as the specialized knowledge of their respective fields in lectures, seminars and exercises. The relevant aspects of law are offered by the respective faculties in cooperation with the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics.

In the winter semester 2023/2024, 2.960 students are enrolled in the programs of the faculty.
